A kilo of aquamarine

In our ever-continuing quest to get closer to the raw gem, we have found this fabulous Flintstone-like string of aquamarine beads. Perfect for a carat-off with your girlfriends (my stone is bigger than yours stuff), this strand weighs in at $2,290. We suspect that each bead, if cut and polished, would make a fabulous gem for a ring too, but there’s something about all that unpolished potential that we love about this strand that we don’t want to change
